Reception of our Stem Cell and Bone Marrow Donors at Dresden (VKS Germany)

On 21st of September, the VKS Germany (Association for Bone Marrow and Stem Cell Donation Germany) honors the past bone marrow and stem cell donors of the last two years by inviting them to a reception. Motivated by the wish to help a person in need, they saved the life of a stranger with a completely selfless gesture. We are looking forward to a very special moment, when a donor and his “patient” meet each other for the very first time. One can barely assume the emotions that come up by seeing their genetic twin. In deep thankfulness, politicians, board members and employees of the VKS festively celebrate our life-savers.

Am 21. September ehrt der Verein für Knochenmark- und Stammzellspenden (VKS) die Spender der letzten beiden Jahre bei seinem Stammzellspenderempfang. Motiviert von dem Wunsch, einem Menschen in Not zu helfen, haben sie das Leben einer fremden Person mit einer völlig selbstlosen Geste gerettet. Wir freuen uns auf den besonderen Moment, wenn Spender und ihre „Patienten“ sich das erste Mal treffen. Es ist kaum vorstellbar, welche Emotionen entstehen, wenn sie ihren genetischen Zwilling treffen. In großer Dankbarkeit und in festlichem Rahmen ehren Politiker, der VKS-Vorstand und die Mitarbeiter des Vereins gemeinsam unsere Lebensretter.
