Sycamore Church Bazaar in El Cerrito

Admission is free to the 67th annual celebration of Japanese American and Japanese culture from noon to 5 p.m. Sept. 17 at the Bazaar at Sycamore Congregational Church UCC, 1111 Navellier St. in El Cerrito. The festival is a fundraiser for the church that will feature entertainment by Tatsumaki Taiko, DulTones (Doo-wop), Wesley Ukelele Band, Awa Odori Sakura Ren, Sycamore Rocks/Praise Hulu, and Bunka Camp kids.

The event will also offer plant sales, children’s games and activities, a silent auction and a large selection of Japanese food (as well as hot dogs and barbecue tri-tip) that has long been one of its most popular features. The day starts with an 11:30 a.m. worship service that is open to all. For more details call 510-525-0727 or visit www.sycamoreucc.org.
